This month, I had the opportunity to premiere the very first season of the Founders Vision podcast. This podcast was created to give a voice to those who have chosen to build their project with intention, focusing on their uniqueness.
I told the story of Douce. , the brand that I created alone, at my own pace, drawing on my Guadeloupean roots, my intuitions and a lot of resilience.

Founders Vision: A podcast for brands that make sense
Launched by brand designer Yelenn De Neef, Founders Vision is a bi-monthly podcast that explores the behind-the-scenes world of entrepreneurship through engaging voices. Each episode features a founder who shares their vision, values, and realities. No cookie-cutter formulas or perfect storytelling: just people moving forward with sincerity.
I was invited to open the ball. And it's a real source of pride, because you're not always visible when you launch a project in a small way, with limited resources. And yet, behind Douce. lies a real project from the heart , fueled by a clear vision from the start.
What I share in this episode
In this first episode, I tell the story of the genesis of Douce.
how this idea came to me, how I built it alone, without investors, and why I wanted every detail - from the name to the scent of the products - to have a deep meaning .
Here are some of the topics covered:
How you can create a brand with little means , without denying your vision
Why Personal Alignment is Essential in Entrepreneurship
What it means to embody your brand every day
The Place of Intention in Every Creative Decision
-
What my Caribbean origins have taught me, and why Douce. pays tribute to them
What I learned as a single mom , woman, entrepreneur, and human
There were moments of doubt, exhaustion, and fear of failure. But also revelations, inspirations, and powerful insights. This podcast is a deep dive into what it truly means to create from the heart .
Douce.: a skincare brand inspired by roots and designed for reality
Douce. was born from a very personal need to find a form of gentleness, grounding and truth.
It is not a brand designed to “perform”: it is a brand designed to care , to tell stories , to reconnect .
The recipes are inspired by traditional Caribbean pharmacopoeia —my grandmother's, leaf baths, sun-infused oils, gestures passed down without anyone having to learn them.
Textures are designed to envelop. Scents are there to remind, not mask.
Each product is like a postcard of what I have received: precious popular knowledge, which I want to pass on in my own way.
Douce. is an independent, natural, vegan, and free brand .
Free to be slow sometimes. Free to be sincere. Free to grow with your clients, with your partners, with the times.
Why this episode matters to me
This podcast allowed me to put into words things that I had not yet had the time, or the space, to express.
It's not just about business or strategy: it's about life. It's about what it sometimes costs to launch out on your own, carrying out a project from A to Z.
It's about choices, fears, power, cycles, invisible work.
And I think it's important that we also talk about that, when we talk about female entrepreneurship .
Not just successes or products sold, but what we go through as whole people.
This podcast is also a way for me to thank those who have supported me. And to say to others: if you feel a calling to create, even without mastering everything, even with little—listen to yourself .
